In this world, Benjamin Franklin so famously said, nothing is inevitable but death and taxes.
More than two centuries later, we’d add another certainty: Trash.
Trenton is far from alone in dealing with the overflow of litter and debris plaguing its neighborhoods. Cities everywhere have tried various approaches to reining it in – Curitata in southern Brazil even went so far as to offer residents a bag of groceries in exchange for every bag of waste they brought in.
